Matt Larson has grown up and lived in Tampa, Florida his whole life. He attended the University of South Florida (USF) where he obtained a B.A. degree in photojournalism.  Matt's career in marketing has been diverse and interesting to say the least. His first job was an internship at Michael Jay Audio Visual where he worked on multiple projector slide shows for fortune 500 companies. One year later he landed at Kash N' Karry's Regional Headquarters as a corporate photographer in marketing. His next job was at Tampa's premier color lab, Eagle Photographics. There he returned to the animation camera (Marion Carroll) and was in change of their reduction dupes and special high-end camera imagery and graphics.

For the past 26 years, Matt has had an award winning marketing career with the Florida Communications Group (The Tampa Tribune, WFLA's News Channel 8 and TBO.com) as a marketing photographer, brand manager and for the Tribune (Life. Printed Daily.). In 2003, he obtained his M.B.A. at St. Leo University in business administration. Currently, Matt is the Community Partnerships Manager for the Florida Communications Group.

It 1997 he discovered toy cameras, which ignited his passion for fine art photography. He's known for using and adapting his arsenal of assorted toy cameras into his commercial and fine art work.

Matt brings to Boxfotos his diverse knowledge of thirty-plus years in photography, branding and media.  Matt believes strongly that it's all about the success of the finished image and cares little about the process or cameras used to achieve it.
