The Museum of Fine Arts (MFA) in St. Petersburg, FL and Boxfotos will team up for the 2012 Worldwide Pinhole Day.
On Sunday (10am-5pm), April 29, photographers Rebecca Sexton Larson and Matt Larson along with their Boxfotos Airstream will be at the Museum of Fine Arts. The Larsons will lead a class of students in a one-day pinhole photography class in a celebration of Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day!

Pinhole Photography is a historical photographic process and is the basis of the photographic medium. On the 29th of April, thousands of people worldwide will participate in Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day and upload photos showing their passion for pinhole photography. "At the end of the day, we'll upload our best images to the national site to represent St.Petersburg," says Rebecca Sexton Larson. Rebecca Sexton Larson is an award-winning photography-based artist. She has 3 Individual Florida Fellowship grants from the State of Florida, awarded the Photographer Larureate position for the City of Tampa in 2005 and recipient of several Hillsborough County artist grants. Rebecca's work is in numerous museum and private collections.
Matt Larson is known for his use of toy cameras such as the Holga and Diana plastic cameras. He has been in several noted group exhibitions such as the Krappy Camera exhibition in New York (1999) and the UNDERCurrent OVERview II exhibition at the Tampa Museum of Art (1998). He is a marketing professional of 28 years working for The Tampa Tribune and News Channel 8.
Pinhole Camera for all participants to keep!

The fee for the pinhole class is $200 and includes your very own wooden pinhole camera (to keep) and all the supplies to make and process the pictures throughout the day.
As an added bonus, the Larsons will have their Boxfotos Airstream onsite for the class.
